The best way to reach us is by email:

cairnsociety@gmail.com

We read everything that comes in. We don't always reply quickly. A short message describing what you're writing about in the subject line helps us get to it sooner.

Especially welcome

Corrections. If a fact in a cairn is wrong, off, out of date, or about to become out of date — please tell us. Specifics help: which cairn, which sentence, what the source is, what the correct version is. We update the cairn and credit the correction in the source notes if you'd like.

Expert review. If you are a clinician, paramedic, electrician, plumber, lawyer, social worker, public-health officer, emergency manager, librarian, food-safety expert, hospice or palliative-care worker, or any other practitioner whose field touches one of our cairns, and you are willing to read a draft before publication — please get in touch. This is the most useful kind of help we can receive. It is also the kind that lets the work travel without doing harm.

Translation. If you'd like to translate a cairn into another language, you don't need our permission — the license already permits it. But please tell us, and we'll link to your translation from the original. If we know yours is the version a particular community is using, we can route people to it.

Adaptation for a specific community. If a clinic, school, church, mutual-aid group, workplace, or town wants to adapt a cairn — replacing generic phone numbers with local ones, for example — that's already permitted under the license. Tell us what you're doing and we may be able to help.

Suggestions for cairns we haven't written yet. If there's a situation you've been through, or watched someone go through, where you wish a clear, plain page had existed — we want to know. We can't write everything, but suggestions like these help us see where the trail is unmarked.

Less useful

We don't accept advertising, sponsorships, affiliate offers, or sponsored content of any kind, ever, on any cairn. Please don't pitch them.

We aren't currently looking for guest writers or submissions. The work is held to a single editorial voice on purpose.

If you're a journalist or researcher writing about the project, you're welcome to quote from any cairn under the license. Email if you'd like more context.
